To honor the memory of Juanita Ross Gray, a former Denver Public Library staff member and community advocate, the library presents an annual award to outstanding adult and youth individuals in the Denver metro area. The Denver Public Library (DPL), Library Commission and committee members invite you to nominate someone you believe deserves this notable award. As mentioned, we are equally interested in youth, ages 14-18, who are setting an example for many in our community.
Complete the online nomination form by 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
SAVE THE DATE: The 2017 awards presentation will take place at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, 2401 Welton St. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. The event is the kick-off celebration for African American Awareness Month at the Denver Public Library.
