circa 1925 Barnum Elementary School students in Monkey Cage

Barnum Elementary School students in Monkey Cage
Kids are kids, except when they’re little monkeys, like these adorable little ones at Barnum Elementary back in 1925.
We don’t know what the impetus for building a monkey cage or the Ferris wheel or the merry-go-round was (maybe the circus was in town?).
We do know that Barnum Elementary was built in 1921 and is still in operation today at its original location (85 Hooker Street).
